12 DAY LONG SARAS MELA TO OFFER HIMACHAL'S RICH HERITAGE IN CHANDIGARH

Himachal Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission (HP Govt.) under the aegis of the Rural Development Department is set to host the SARAS Mela from 1st February to 12th February 2024 at Exhibition Ground, Sector 34, Chandigarh.
This vibrant event aims to showcase the talents and products of more than 3,50,000 rural women federated into nearly 44,000 Self Help Groups (SHGs) under the mission. The Mela will be inaugurated by Anirudh Singh, Minister of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, HP Govt on its first day.
This event is a testament to the success of the Himachal Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission in empowering rural women and providing them with a platform to exhibit their skills. The Mela will feature nearly 100 stalls showcasing traditional handloom products such as Kullu Kinnauri Patti Shawls, Sweaters, Lahauli Pullas, and Handicrafts like Chamba Rumaal, Mandi Kalam, Kangra Miniature Paintings, Wood Carved Temples and many more traditional creativity.

The SARAS Mela is a unique opportunity for residents and visitors to support and appreciate the rich cultural heritage and craftsmanship of Devbhoomi.
