Keeping in view of increasing theft cases, In a breakthrough a team of Police Station Sector-17, Chandigarh has got major success by arresting the accused Suraj Kumar S/o Chunni Ram R/o Vill. Babupur, PO-Tinpahar, Distt. Sahibganj, Jharkhand age 27 years.
The above noted accused have been arrested in case FIR No. 10 dated 11.02.2024 U/s 379 IPC added 411 IPC of Police Station Sector-17, Chandigarh and the case has been worked out:-
Present case was registered on the complaint of Ms. Poonam Rani W/o Sh. Satish Kumar R/o 35 B I, Near Dushra Ground, Googamadi Road, Kharar Distt Mohali, PB age 37 years, in which she stated that on 11.02.2024 at around 4:00 PM, she went to Sector 22 Shastri Market, Chandigarh for some personal work. When she was shopping in the market, in the meanwhile one unknown boy took out her Redmi-9 Note Mobile Phone, gray color from the pocket of her jacket and fled away from the spot.
On receipt of information, a special team was constituted by SHO-17 and team arrested accused namely accused Suraj Kumar S/o Chunni Ram R/o Vill. Babupur, PO-Tinpahar, Distt. Sahibganj, Jharkhand age 27 years and two stolen mobile phone make Redmi-9 and apple i-phone have been recovered from his possession.
On 12.02.2024, accused person produced in the Hon’ble Court and sent to judicial custody. Further, investigation of the said case is going on.
