Keeping in view of increasing narcotics cases, In a breakthrough a team of Police Station Sector-17, Chandigarh on the direction of Ms. Kanwardeep Kaur, IPS, W/SSP/UT, Chandigarh, under the close guidance of Sh. Mridul, IPS, W/SP/City Chandigarh and under the supervision of Sh. Gurumukh Singh, DSP/Central has got major success by arresting the accused Arshdeep Singh S/o Sh. Bhupender Singh R/o Village Sangrahoor, PS-Faridkot, Distt. Faridkot (PB) Age 22 years.
The above noted accused have been arrested in case FIR No. 11 dated 11.02.2024U/s 21 NDPS Act of Police Station Sector-17, Chandigarh and the case has been worked out:- Brief Facts:- Present case was registered on the complaint of SI Vivek Kumar 1503/CHG in which he stated that on 11.02.2024 at about 7.20 pm, he was on patrolling duty along with police party, when they reached near trun Govt. School Sector 23 A UT, Chandigarh, they nabbed a person namely Arshdeep Singh S/o Sh. Bhupender Singh R/o Village Sangrahoor, PS-Faridkot, Distt. Faridkot (PB) Age 22 years and recovered 20 gram heroine/smack from his possession for which he could not produce and valid licence/permit.
Arrest of accused:- On receipt of information, a special team was constituted by SHO-17 and team arrested accused namely accused Arshdeep Singh S/o Sh. Bhupender Singh R/o Village Sangrahoor, PS-Faridkot, Distt. Faridkot (PB) Age 22 years and 20 gram heroine/smack has been recovered from his possession.
Profile of accused :Arshdeep Singh S/o Bhupender Singh, Village Sangrahoor, PS-Faridkot, Distt. Faridkot (PB) Age 22 yrs . he studied upto +2 and running Footwear shop in Faridkot.
The accused person produced in the Hon’ble court where he was remanded to police custody. Further investigation is going on.
