CHANDIGARH POLICE TRAFFIC ALERT ON VISIT OF VICE PRESIDENT OF INDIA

Traffic Advisory for 7th March, 2024 In view of the visit of Hon'ble Vice President of India on 07.03.2024 at Chandigarh, the General Public is hereby informed that:-

• Traffic will be diverted/restricted on Dakshin Marg (from Airport Light Point to Tribune Chowk), on Purav Marg (from Tribune Chowk to Transport Light Point); on Madhya Marg (from Dhillon Barrier to Panjab University) and on Chandi Path(from Grain Market Chowk to Sector 27/28 Light Point) during the movement of VVIP. The general public is requested to avoid the above stretch/road from 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM on 07.03.2024.

General public is requested to adopt other alternate routes to avoid any congestion/inconvenience and to reach at their destination before 4 PM to avoid traffic congestion.

• Further, general public is requested to follow the social media Account of Chandigarh Traffic Police for real time updates on traffic.

• General public is advised not to park/ply their vehicles on cycle track/pedestrian pathway and No Parking Area, otherwise strict action shall be taken as per law and vehicles shall be towed away. Chandigarh Traffic Police appeals to the general public to cooperate with the police and any inconvenience caused on account of these restrictions/diversions is deeply regretted.
