ANTI-CORRUPTION BUREAU ARRESTS SI NUH POLICE STATION FOR TAKING BRIBE OF RS 5,000

The Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) team arrested Sub-Inspector Surjeet Singh posted at City Police Station, Nuh, on charges of taking a bribe of Rs 5,000. The accused had demanded the bribe in exchange for granting police bail in an FIR registered at City Police Station. 

Giving information about this, a government spokesperson said that a case was registered against the complainant at City Police Station. The complainant approached the ACB team and told them that Sub-Inspector Surjeet Singh, posted at City Police Station, Nuh, was demanding a bribe of Rs 7,000 from the complainant in exchange for granting police bail in the FIR registered at the police station. Based on the complaint received, the facts were investigated and the accused was arrested on the charge of taking a bribe of Rs 5,000. In this case, all necessary evidence is being collected and the matter is being investigated. 

In this case, a case has been registered against the accused at the ACB Police Station, Gurugram and he has been arrested. The spokesperson of the bureau appealed to the general public that if any officer or employee demands a bribe in lieu of doing government work, then immediately inform the Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau on toll-free numbers 1800-180-2022 and 1064.
