Global Fashion, lifestyle and home decor exhibition (Spring Edit) has kicked off at Himachal Bhawan in Sector 28, Chandigarh and will continue to dazzle visitors until April 1, from 11 am till 8 pm daily.

“The exhibition is an attempt to showcase latest and trendy spring-summer 2024 collections that are exquisite, innovative and created just for the season. A diverse range of exhibitors are offering fashion, lifestyle, and home decor products,” said Rattandeep Singh Walia, Director, Global Events, which has put up the exhibition.

Aman Walia, also a Director at Global Events said, “We have nearly 50 exhibitors from across India presenting their collections and at the exhibition. The idea behind the showcase is to provide a one stop shop for visitors to shop for their fashion and lifestyle needs.”

A unique social initiative has also been taken in the exhibition: the presentation of products made by women from the ‘underprivileged segment’ working under the banner of ‘Tashvin Foundation’ – a non- governmental organisation(NGO). Products like handmade potlis, bed sheets, towels, handbags etc. made by the women artisans are on display. These products have been created under the NGO’s ‘Udaan Initiative’, which aims at empowering needy women.

Moving on, a designer from Abohar, is presenting a collection of Co-Ord sets, stitched and unstitched suits. Keeping the upcoming summer season in mind, a range of cotton fabrics including mal cotton, muslin etc. have been used.

‘Shan-E-Lucknow’ is there with an elegant Lucknowi Chikankari collection. From designer cotton suits to Indian semi-formal suits, ‘Mubarak’, , brings sophisticated ensembles to the exhibition. ‘Guneety's Invogue’ features floor-length dresses, lehengas, formal suits, casual suits & co-ord sets. ‘Pushti’ brings traditional craftsmanship to the forefront with its ethnic collection.
