COURT TO PRONOUNCEMENT OF SENTENCE ON 15.4.24

The Trial Court of Ld. Special Judge for CBI Cases, Panchkula, Haryana has today convicted four accused persons in CBI case No. RC 9(S)/2016/CBI/New Delhi relating to double murder, gang rape and dacoity which took place on the intervening night of 24/25.08.2016 in Village- Dingerhedi, Police Station –Tauru, District-Nuh Mewat, Haryana. The convicted accused are (1) Hemant Chouhan@Dharmu@Rahul (2) Ayan Chauhan @ Munna @ Lucky (3) Vinay @ Lambu@ Tully and (4) Jai Bhagwan.
The case relates to double murder, gang rape and dacoity which took place on the intervening night of 24/25.08.2016 in Village-Dingerhedi, District-Nuh Mewat, Haryana. Subsequently FIR No. 247 dated 25.08.2016 was registered in PS- Tauru, District –Nuh, Haryana under Section 459, 460, 376-D, 396, 397 of IPC, Section 6 of POCSO Act, 2012 and Section 25, 54, 59 of Arms Act, 1959 alleging that a group of 04/05 persons entered the house of the victim during midnight and attacked victims in their house with lathi, iron road and with hand pistol gun.
They gang raped two ladies including one minor girl at their home and thereafter looted ornaments, cash from their possession. Due to attack, one of the victim along with his wife died and others got grievous injuries. Initial investigation was conducted by Haryana Police which had filed a Charge Sheet in the case on 21.11.2016.
Thereafter, on the request of State Government of Haryana, CBI took over the investigation and after conducting scientific investigation, CBI filed two supplementary charge sheets including against the convicted accused on 24.01.2018 and on 29.11.2019. CBI collected scientific/forensic evidences like DNA profiling, Finger Print Matching etc. The Ld. Court framed the charges on 15.03.2021 against accused persons charge sheeted by Haryana Police as well as by CBI.
After trial, the Ld. Court convicted four accused persons charge sheeted by CBI and fixed the matter on 15.04.2024 for pronouncement of sentence to be imposed on convicted accused persons.
