The Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested Sub-Inspector Sunil and Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Kamal Singh, both stationed at Rewari's Sadar Police Station, red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000 today.

Sharing information in this regard an official spokesperson said that the ACB team received a complaint alleging that the accused officers were demanding a monthly bribe from the complainant by threatening to file a false case under the Gambling Act. After verifying the complaint, the ACB team planned an operation and apprehended both individuals red-handed while accepting the bribe money. The entire process was conducted transparently in the presence of witnesses.

The Bureau's spokesperson urged the public to report any bribery attempts by government officers. They can do so by calling the Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau's toll-free helpline numbers: 1800-180-2022 and 1064.
