ANTI-CORRUPTION DRIVE INTENSIFIES: HARYANA ACB REGISTERS CASE AGAINST SHO AND ALLEGED ACCOMPLICE

A case has been registered by the Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) against Inspector Bilasa Ram and private individual Dharmendra for bribery in the Panipat district. In this case, accused Dharmendra was arrested red-handed yesterday while accepting a bribe of Rs.100,000, while the accused inspector Bilasa Ram fled from the spot.

Sharing information in this regard an official spokesperson said that the ACB team received a complaint that Inspector Bilasa Ram, posted at Sector -13/17 police station in Panipat, and private individual Dharmendra were demanding a bribe of Rs.100,000 from the complainant in exchange for removing the name of the complainant's friend from the FIR. The ACB team of Karnal, after investigating the matter, made a plan to catch both the accused.

In this case, accused Dharmendra was arrested red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs.100,000, while the other accused inspector fled from the spot. A case has been registered in this matter against both the accused at the ACB Karnal police station and action has been taken. The ACB team is investigating the case by collecting all the necessary evidence.

The bureau's spokesperson appealed to the general public that if any officer or employee demands a bribe in exchange for doing government work, then immediately inform the Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau on its toll-free numbers -1800-180-2022 and 1064.
