ST. JOHN'S HIGH SCHOOL CELEBRATES FOUNDER'S DAY

In celebration of the Feast day of Blessed Edmund Rice, the patron saint of education and founder of the Christian Brothers, students, teachers, and parents of St. John's High School in Chandigarh united for a noble cause.

Together, they embarked on a 30 km cycle awareness ride on Sunday, which was flagged off by the Principal, Brother Augustine Jairaj and Headmistress, Mrs. Rajashree Vipin from St. John's High School.

The peloton weaving through the picturesque streets of the city beautiful was led by the school's cycling team of State and National level cyclists, Harroop, Advitya, Shauryaveer, Angelo, Mehakpreet and Rushil with their teachers Rajinder Singh, Mrs. Amarpreet kaur and cycling coach and Chandigarh team manager, Michaelangelo Francis.

(MOREPIC2)(SUBHEAD)Their mission was to amplify the voices of children, advocate for their rights, and champion the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). With banners aloft and hearts ablaze with passion, the participants pedalled in unison, symbolizing their commitment to fostering a brighter future for generations to come.

As they rode and visited tourist places like the Sukhna Lake, Rose Garden, Fragrance Garden and Terraced Garden, conversations flourished about the importance of education, healthcare, and protection for every child, resonating the values instilled by Blessed Edmund Rice himself. This remarkable event not only showcased the solidarity of the St. John's community but also served as a beacon of hope, inspiring others to join the movement for positive change. The peloton completed 1450 kms as a joint effort.
