The Chandigarh Administration has suspended  Nishant Thakur, Peon, from the office of the Executive Engineer, Electrical Division No. 1, U.T. Chandigarh, following allegations of demanding illegal gratification.

An internal inquiry has confirmed that Sh. Nishant Thakur demanded Rs. 1,25,000/- from Ms. Jyoti Sharma with the promise of securing her a job as a Computer Operator under the Electrical Division No. 1, U.T. Chandigarh.
