Sukna Lake witnessed an inspiring celebration of World Environment Day as the NCC cadets of 2 Chandigarh Battalion, under the aegis of NCC Chandigarh Group Headquarter, organized a series of impactful activities aimed at promoting environmental conservation and sustainability.

The event kicked off with an engaging Nukkad Natak, a street play that highlighted the urgent need for environmental conservation and sustainable practices. The performance drew significant public attention, effectively communicating the importance of environmental responsibility to a diverse audience.

Following the Nukkad Natak, the cadets showcased their creativity through a poster-making activity. The visually compelling posters served as stark reminders of the critical need to protect our environment, reinforcing the message of sustainability.

Demonstrating their unwavering commitment to eco-friendly practices, the cadets collectively took a Green Pledge. This pledge underscored their dedication to adopting habits that support environmental sustainability.

In addition to these activities, the cadets conducted an extensive awareness campaign. They engaged the community in interactive sessions, discussing various environmental issues and educating the public on the importance of conservation. Through these dialogues, they provided practical tips on proactive steps individuals can take to contribute to a healthier planet.

The World Environment Day celebrations by the NCC cadets at Sukna Lake were a resounding success. Their efforts significantly contributed to raising awareness and inspiring positive environmental action within the community.
