In another breakthrough a team of Police Station Sector-31, Chandigarh has got a major success by arresting the accused Parshant S/o Rajesh Kumar R/o # 817 Phase 1 Ramdarbar Chandigarh age 22 yrs. As a result of which recently registered snatching case FIR No. 102 dt 03.06.2023 U/s 379A, 34 IPC added 411 IPC of Police Station Sector-31, Chandigarh has been worked out.
As per directions of Ms. Kanwardeep Kaur, IPS, W/SSP/UT, Chandigarh, under the close guidance of Sh. Mridul, W/SP/City Chandigarh and under the supervision of Sh. Dalbir Singh, DSP/South a team of officials of Police Station Sector-31, Chandigarh was constituted to solve the snatching case.
Present case was registered on the complaint of Sh. Ajay Kumar S/o Ramesh Chand R/o H. No 4626, Maloya Colony, Chandigarh in which he stated that on 02.06.2024 at about 12:35 hrs, he was going to Plot No 137 Indl Area, Phase-II, Chandigarh for personal work. When he reached near Patrol Pump, Indl Area, Phase-II, Chandigarh in the meantime two unknown boys came on motorcycle and stopped him and asked for an address in the meantime a boy sitting behind on the motorcycle suddenly took his Aadhar card, voter along with cash Rs 5000/- from his pocket and ran away from the spot. He could not note down the number plate of said motorcycle.
On receipt of a secret information, a special team was constituted by SHO-31 and on a secret information the team headed by ASI Dharminder Singh arrested accused Parshant S/o Rajesh Kumar R/o # 817 Phase 1 Ramdarbar Chandigarh age 22 yrs and snatched cash, documents of complainant and motorcycle used in crime have been recovered from his possession. The accused sent to judicial custody. Further investigation is going on.
