TEN-DAY COMBINED ANNUAL TRAINING CAMP OF 2 CHANDIGARH BATTALION NCC CONCLUDES

The ten-day Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) 171, under the aegis of 2 Chandigarh Battalion NCC, concluded here on Thursday with the formal closing address of Colonel Paramjeet Singh, Group Commander. It was organised from 11th June to 20th June 2024 at Post Graduate Government College (PGGC) 11, Chandigarh. As many as NCC 370 cadets of various schools and colleges of Chandigarh participated in the Training Programme.

In his closing address, Colonel Paramjeet Singh commended the cadets for their dedication, discipline, and active participation throughout the camp. He highlighted the importance of such training camps in building character, leadership qualities, and patriotism among young cadets.

The camp included a series of rigorous training sessions encompassing physical fitness, drill practice, weapon training, and lessons in first aid. Cadets also engaged in cultural activities and community service, reflecting the NCC's commitment to holistic development.

The closing ceremony was attended by NCC associate officers and other staff besides the cadets. The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where several accolades were awarded: Best Company Trophy: Charlie Company Best Institution (Senior Division): Post Graduate Government College, Sector 11Best Institution (Junior Division): New Public School Best Group Dance Event (Senior Division): Winner – PGGC 11; Runner-up – Panjab University Best Group Dance Event (Junior Division): Winner – Shri Guru Gobind School, Sector 35; Runner-up – New Public School Talent Hunt Competition: Cadet Gayatri, Cadet Stanzin, Cadet Tulsi, Cadet Kamal The ceremony concluded with a display of the skills and discipline acquired by the cadets during the camp, showcasing the high standards of training and commitment.
