MEETING OF STANDING COMMITTEE OF ADMINISTRATOR'S ADVISORY COUNCIL ON LAW AND ORDER HELD

Meeting of Standing Committee of Administrator’s Advisory Council on Law & Order held in the Committee Room, Chandigarh Police Headquarters, Sector 9, Chandigarh.

The meeting was Chaired by Sh. Arun Sood and attended by Sh V.K Kapoor IPS (Retd.), Sh. Baljinder Singh, President of Federation of Sector Welfare Association and Sh. Hitesh Puri, Chandigarh Residents Association Welfare Federation in presence of SSP UT and SP City.

At the outset of the meeting the Chairman, Sh. Arun Sood and other members praised Chandigarh Police for managing Law & Order situation effectively in the city and rendering citizen centric services at their doorstep.

During the meeting, detailed deliberations were made pertaining to improvement of Law & order situation in city. Members rose issues such as menace of beggars at light points, increased inflow of Auto from neighboring states, to increase night patrolling in the outer/ bordering areas, Left turn free via slip roads, to increase number of meetings of RWA/MWA with concerned SHOs, Samavesh officials to help citizens in registration of e-FIRs for Motor Vehicle theft, To increase the night patrolling in the inner areas of sectors without police siren

Following proposals were put up by the members for consideration

• To engage with RWAs for installing entry gates in all sector along with CCTVs • Sealing walls in the all sectors of Chandigarh for safety and security.
