The Chandigarh Lalit Kala Akademi celebrated its Annual Award Ceremony with great enthusiasm and honor Punjab Kala Bhavan, Chandigarh The prestigious event was graced by Sh. Banwarilal Purohit, Governor of Punjab and Administrator UT Chandigarh, as the Chief Guest who felicitated the award-winning artists alongwith Sh. Rajeev Verma, Adviser to the Administrator, as the Guest of Honour

Through their artistic endeavors, the talented individuals showcased here today have not only enriched their own lives but also the lives of countless others.

The exhibition showcases a diverse range of mediums and subjects, reflecting contemporary themes and artistic explorations. From sculptures to paintings, photographs to installations, the displayed works invite dialogue, interpretations, and reflections.

(SUBHEAD)Awards in the Professional category include three prizes of Rs 50,000 each, four merit awards of Rs 20,000 each, and a special jury award of Rs 10,000 for a specially-abled artist.Three eminent city artists were honored with the Amrita Shergil Samman for their outstanding contributions to art.

The other officials present during the event was Sh. Hari Kallikkat, Secretary Culture, Sh. ,Sh Bheem Malhotra, Chairman lalit Kala Akademi, Sh.J.M Balamurugan,Additional Chief Secretary, Defence Services Welfare, and other officials of the Akademi.
