TRAFFIC POLICE ISSUED ADVISORY AS GOVERNOR AND ADMINISTRATOR TO TAKE OATH ON JULY 31

On 31.07.2024 at approximately 1100 am, various political leaders, bureaucrats, and dignitaries from the state of Punjab and UT Chandigarh will attend the oath ceremony of Sh. Gulab Chand Kataria as Governor of Punjab and Administrator of UT Chandigarh at Punjab Raj Bhawan, Chandigarh.

Due to the expected large gathering and traffic congestion in front of Punjab Raj Bhawan, a one-way traffic system will be implemented on 31.07.2024 from 0900 am to 1200 pm. Measure aims to streamline traffic flow around the Raj Bhawan and ease congestion. All invitees are advised to reach Punjab Raj Bhawan bya Heera Singh chowk (5/6,7/8). Only vehicle with red Sticker will be allowed to enter Punjab Raj Bhawan.

Vehicle with Green stickers will drop of and pick up dignitaries on the main road near the outer gate of Guru Nanak auditorium at PRB and should park on one side of the road in sector 7, Chandigarh, after passing through Golf turn, 7/26 light point. All concerned are also requested to affix their stickers on front windshield of there vehicle for easy identification.

Additionally, vehicle travelling on Uttar Marg are advised to avoid the Sukhna Lake road and instead inter from 4/5 turn to 8/9 chowk, proceeding to Heera Sing chowk. The General public also advise not to travel towards Heera Singh chowk from the 7/8 turn.
