AIR MARSHAL INSPECTED REVIEWED THE PROGRESS OF AIRCRAFT AND AERO ENGINES' PRODUCTION

The three day visit of Air Marshal Vijay Kumar Garg, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief Maintenance Command (MC), along with Mrs. Ritu Garg President Air Force Family Welfare Association (Regional) [AFFWA (R)] to 3 Base Repair Depot (3 BRD), Air Force Chandigarh (from 01 – 03 August, 2024) completed here today. This was his maiden visit after assuming command of the technology- oriented Maintenance Command of the Indian Air Force (IAF) at Nagpur.

(MOREPIC1)Air Commodore Rajeev Shrivastava, Air Officer Commanding, Base Repair Depot Chandigarh apprised him about various activities of 3 BRD.

Air Marshal Vijay Kumar Garg inspected various repair, overhaul & training facilities and also reviewed the progress of aircraft and aero engines' production at the Depot. He emphasised keeping pace with new technological advancements, performing duties efficiently and setting up higher proficiency standards. He encouraged all air warriors to maintain physical fitness, mental agility for operational readiness and to be security conscious.

Mrs. Ritu Garg took a review of the ventures managed by AFFWA (L) and interacted with Depot Sanginis. Mrs. Neetika Shrivastava, President AFFWA (Local) briefed her about the numerous initiatives of the Depot towards improving the quality of life of personnel and their families.

AOC's tour concluded with the visit of the recently built Indian Airforce Heritage Centre at Sector 18, Chandigarh
