ELECTION COMMISSION OF INDIA ON A TWO-DAY VISIT TO HARYANA

COMMISSION TO REVIEW PREPARATIONS FOR HARYANA ASSEMBLY GENERAL ELECTIONS, COMMISSION WILL HOLD MEETINGS WITH DISTRICT ELECTION OFFICERS AND SENIOR OFFICERS OF HARYANA

In view of the upcoming Haryana Assembly general elections, the Election Commission of India will be on a two-day visit to Haryana starting today. Chief Election Commissioner, Sh. Rajiv Kumar, along with Election Commissioners, Sh. Gyanesh Kumar and Dr. Sukhbir Singh Sandhu, and other officers of the Commission, will hold various meetings.

Chief Electoral Officer, Haryana, Sh. Pankaj Agarwal informed that on August 12, 2024, the Commission will review election preparations in a meeting with representatives of political parties, district election officers, and senior officers of Haryana.

He said that on August 13, the Commission will give guidelines to enforcement agencies to enhance monitoring and vigilance across the state. Besides this, the Commission will hold crucial meetings with the Chief Secretary, Director General of Police, other Administrative Secretaries, and senior police officers to review other arrangements. He said that all preparations for the Election Commission's visit have been completed.
