Ever heard of Alzheimer’s disease? What if a person starts showing symptoms of this condition of partial or complete memory loss in his early thirties. An upcoming Punjabi film titled Alzheimer also deals with the same subject. Actor Bhinda Aujla who is also debuting as director with this film project is hopeful that this message-oriented subject will ignite an interest among the viewers. Alzheimer is releasing today on Chaupal.

The OTT film also stars actors, Harman Bhullar, Surbhi Mahendru and Puneet Kaur. Written by Sapinder Singh, Bhinda related to the subject of Alzehimer’s because he himself had seen his grandparents suffering from memory loss.

(SUBHEAD)He has done intense research on the topic and how the lifestyle changes can lead to early symptoms of Alzheimer’s. Everyone perceived it to be a disease that strikes with old age but there are rare cases of it affecting the young ones as well. The character that he plays also finds it hard to process that he has the disease.

Another actress, Puneet, has been taking care of Alzehimer’s patients in Canada and had first-hand experience of their mental state. “She helped a lot in understanding the character’s graph and emotions around it,” said Bhinda.

Film is produced by Dharamvir Thandi, Raja Bukanaala, Satwinder Khella and Gullu Brar. The press conference was held at the Press Club.

Bhinda said that the film has a social message. “It’s a film that can be watched with entire family. I wanted to reach more viewers of all age groups with this movie so I chose an OTT platform over theatre.” The film is releasing on Chaupal on August 22.
