Yogasana Association Chandigarh® affiliated to Yogasana Bharat, successfully conducted Selection Trials for ‘Khelo India Yogasana Women's League (North Zone)’ on 25th August, 2024 at Government College of Yoga Education & Health, Sector 23A, Chandigarh.
The selection trials featured various age categories (12-18 years and 18-55 years) and events, including Traditional Yogasana, Artistic Yogasana (single and pair), and Rhythmic Yogasana (pair).
Selected yoga players will represent Chandigarh in the upcoming ‘Khelo India Yogasana Women's League (North Zone)’ scheduled to be held from 1st to 3rd September, 2024 at Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh). All selected players were honored by Dr. Mahender Singh (President), Dr. Ram Paul Aeri (Sr. Vice President), Ms. Meenakshi Thakur (Director of Programme), Ms. Rupinder Kaur (Manager), Mr. Roshan Lal (Secretary) and other members of association. They congratulated the Chandigarh Women Team on their selection for the upcoming championship.
(MOREPIC1)(SUBHEAD) An orientation program was also organized by the Yogasana Association Chandigarh, where Mr. Jitender Singh (Director of Programme), Mr. Rohit (Org.Secy.) and Mr.Ashu Partap (Manager of Programme), welcomed the esteemed judges participants. This orientation program was aligned with the evaluation criteria, rules, and regulations of the Yogasana Bharat in for Yogasana Completions.
The program aimed to ensure consistency and fairness in judging while appreciating the unique nuances of each participant's practice. Mr. Rohit reviewed the competition format, scoring system, and penalties and discussed the importance of maintaining impartiality and respect for all participants.
The selected yoga player’s event wise were:
Traditional Yogasana Event: – Age Group 12-18 years: Kritika, Ananya, Tamanna. –
Age Group 18-55 years: Malika, Jyoti, Payal.
Artistic Yogasana Single:
– Age Group 12-18 years: Reshma, Sudeeksha Handa.
– Age Group 18-55 years: Poshita, Dolly Raj, Mamta Singh.
Artistic Yogasana Pair:
– Age Group 12-18 years: Pooja & Shivani.
Rhythmic Yogasana Pair:
– Age Group 12-18 years: Anshu & Sakshi.
