3,239 COMPLAINTS RECEIVED ON C-VIGIL APP RELATED TO VIOLATION OF MODEL CODE OF CONDUCT, 2,957 FOUND VALID PANKAJ AGARWAL

Haryana Chief Electoral Officer, Sh. Pankaj Agarwal, informed that complaints related to the violation of the Model Code of Conduct are being resolved within 100 minutes on the C-Vigil app. This app allows users to upload audio, video, and photos as evidence.

He further mentioned that due to the awareness of citizens, a total of 3,239 complaints have been received in Haryana from August 16 to September 4, out of which 2,957 have been found valid. Providing district-wise details, he stated that 103 complaints were received from Ambala district, 24 from Bhiwani, 418 from Faridabad, 8 from Fatehabad, 209 from Gurgaon, 84 from Hisar, 15 from Jhajjar, 30 from Jind, 81 from Kaithal, 7 from Karnal, 43 from Kurukshetra, 3 from Mahendragarh, 7 from Mewat, 35 from Palwal, 80 from Panchkula, 10 from Panipat, 31 from Rewari, 207 from Rohtak, 1,615 from Sirsa, 81 from Sonipat, and 148 from Yamunanagar. Out of the total complaints, 2,957 were found valid by the Returning Officers and Assistant Returning Officers, and appropriate actions were taken according as per the rules.

(SUBHEAD)Haryana Chief Electoral Officer stated that any individual or political party can file a complaint related to the violation of the Model Code of Conduct on this app. Complaints can be registered on the app at any time during the election process. Election officers are closely monitoring election activities through the C-Vigil app, and preventive actions are being taken wherever violations of the Model Code of Conduct are observed. He added that officers associated with elections can view complaints related to model code of conduct and election expenditure directly on their mobile through C-Vigil app.
