EXCISE DEPTT. DRIVE AGAINST ILLEGAL LIQUOR IN VIEW OF HARYANA ELECTIONS CONTINUE

Excise and Taxation Department is continuing its drive against illegal liquor to enforce MCC guidelines in view of the Haryana Election 2024 and to ensure integrity of supply chain of liquor.

(SUBHEAD)Additional Excise commissioner confirmed that In the last fortnight, 54 inspections of the licensees have been conducted wherein 1761 bottles of Liqour have been seized for various offences and the department has initiated 13 Liqour breach cases under the Excise act.

He also laid stress that department continues to closely monitor the distribution and supply lines of Liqour so that the smuggling and illicit sale of Liqour is completely eradicated .

Department is also keeping a very close eye on the bottling plants and the liquor wholesalers.
