POETESS ALKA SATIJA HONORED BY SAHITYA SADAN

Alka Satija, HoD of the Hindi and Sanskrit in the LRS DAV Sr Sec Model School here was specially honored as a part of the Sahitya Sadan centenary celebrations for her recently published second poetry collection “Venu Man Ki”.

Mrs. Satija said that this poetry collection is a corner of her mind in which a river of emotions keeps flowing silently. The purpose of her poems, along with feelings of patriotism, is also to inspire not to give place to despair in the mind. Her aim is also to call for saving moral values and culture through the poems.

Lekhak Parishad president Raj Sadosh said that Mrs. Satija has given a new dimension to creativity in 'Venu Man Ki' from her wealth of experiences. Reading these, one feels as if she has included in his poetry collection pearls shining in the immense depth of the ocean.

SKN Ayurvedic Hospital in-charge Dr. Sandeep Watts said that we feel especially happy in the centenary celebrations by honouring Alka Satija. He expressed hope that with her support it would be possible to strengthen literary activities.

Sahitya Sadan president Suryakant Rinwa said that the DAV School sapling was planted in Sahitya Sadan long back, the institution later developed tremendously in the DAVC campus.
