TANTIA UNIVERSITY VC DR. SAXENA NOMINATED AS IUCN MEMBER

Vice Chancellor of Tantia University, Sriganganagar, who has been working in the field of environmental protection for a long time, Prof. (Dr.) M.M. Saxena has been nominated as Education and Communication Commission Member at the International Union for Conservation of Nature, Switzerland (IUCN) for his commendable work in the field of environment.

IUCN works to tackle three of the most important challenges facing the world's ocean and polar regions: climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution.

Registrar of the University, Dr. Vinod Kumar Sharma said that IUCN is the world's top organization for nature conservation. Commission Chairman Dr. Sean Southee has issued a letter to this effect.

Dr. Saxena has been working on the ecology and biodiversity of Indian deserts for the last four decades and his work has had a wide impact internationally. Vice Chairman of the University, Dr. Mohit Tantia, while congratulating, has called it a good fortune for the University and the region.
