The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Haryana reported to have arrested Haryana Civil Services officer Meenakshi Dahiya in a bribery case of 1 lakh on Friday night. After the arrest, Dahiya was produced in the duty magistrate's court in Panchkula. Meenakshi Dahiya was sent to judicial custody for 14 days.
Earlier, an anticipatory bail petition was filed in the Punjab-Haryana High Court by HCS Meenakshi Dahiya, was rejected the anticipatory bail petition giving a shock to Dahiya.
During this time, the High Court had also made a strict comment and said that prima facie there is evidence of Dahiya's involvement in the bribery case. A case has been registered against HCS officer Meenakshi Dahiya under the provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act at the ACB police station in Panchkula.
A full complaint with ACB accusing HCS Meenakshi Dahiya, who demanded the bribe. He told that, instead of government work, bribe was demanded from him. In which one or two other people were also involved along with Dahiya. Who played the middle role. It is said that HCS Meenakshi Dahiya was on the run for the last five months due to the ACB's action in the bribery case. The anti-corruption team was constantly pressing to arrest Dahiya. ACB was taking the help of Cyber Cell to arrest Meenakshi Dahiya. Now the arrest of Meenakshi Dahiya is a big success for ACB.
SEVERAL IAS , IPS AND HCS OFFICERS ON RADAR
The Anti Corruption Bureau had arrested 2 IAS officers in the case of corruption last year. IAS Vijay Dahiya and IAS Jayveer Arya were arrested. At present, around a dozen IAS and some IPS and HCS officials from Haryana are on the ACB's radar. The anti-corruption team is active regarding them.
