WORLD HEART DAY 2024 CELEBRATION AT MUKAT HOSPITAL

THE EVENT HELD TO PROMOTE HEART HEALTH AND EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ON THE IMPORTANCE OF PREVENTING CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES. MEMBERS FROM CHANDIGARH SENIOR CITIZENS’ ASSOCIATION AND PATIENTS WHO HAVE TAKEN HEART TREATMENT FROM THE HOSPITAL WERE PRESENT TO CELEBRATE.

Mukat Hospital and Heart Institute is a renowned Super-specialty hospital and a pioneer institution in the field of cardiac sciences providing services for more than 3 decades. Taking this legacy further, hosted a successful celebration on World Heart Day on 29th Sep 2024 bringing together health care professionals, patients and the community to raise awareness about cardiovascular health.

The event held at Mukat Hospital was to promote heart health and educate the public on the importance of preventing cardiovascular diseases. Members from Chandigarh Senior Citizens’ Association and patients who have taken heart treatment from the hospital were present to celebrate.

MyFM RJ Jassi along with Dr Ramesh Aggarwal, Dr Tanya and staff of the hospital participated in the awareness program.

Dr Asif Mattoo (Interventional Cardiologist) delivered inspirational talk on the importance of early detection, adopting heart healthy habits and staying informed about the risks of heart disease.

His advice On World Heart Day specially to youngsters:

1. Maintain a healthy diet low in trans fats and sugars.
2. Engage in regular physical activities such as walking, jogging, or sports.
3. Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.
4. Manage stress through mindfulness, meditation, or hobbies.
5. Get regular check-ups, especially if there is a family history of heart disease.
