Shri Rajiv Verma, Advisor to Administrator, Chandigarh graced the grand Dussehra celebrations organised by Shri Ram Leela Samiti at the iconic Parade Ground, Sector 17, Chandigarh as the Chief Guest.

The occasion witnessed a wonderful display of tradition and devotion, where hundreds of people gathered and participated enthusiastically to celebrate the victory of good over evil.

(SUBHEAD)This year’s Dussehra celebrations saw dramatic enactment of episodes from the Ramayana, culminating with the symbolic burning of huge effigies of Ravana, Meghnath and Kumbhakaran. The burning symbolises the eternal message of righteousness and truth, inspiring society towards positivity.

On the occasion, Shri Verma reiterated Chandigarh’s commitment to support green initiatives, which set an example towards reducing waste and promoting eco-friendly practices. He said that Dussehra reminds us of the power of unity, especially in today’s age when individualism often prevails over collective efforts.

Chandigarh is renowned for its goodwill, inclusiveness and progress. Just as our community celebrates this festival together, we can all move forward unitedly towards progress by supporting each other.
