WESTERN COMMAND HOSTS SUCCESSFUL VETERANS' OUTREACH PROGRAMME AT CHANDIMANDIR

 ARMY COMMANDER REAFFIRMS WHOLE-HEARTED AND UNWAVERING SUPPORT TO THE VETERANS

The Army Western Command organized a Veterans' Outreach Programme at Chandimandir Military Station on Tuesday, bringing together over 500 retired officers from the Tricity- Chandigarh, Mohali, and Panchkula. The event aimed to update veterans on Indian Army initiatives and provide a one-stop solution for their issues.

Representatives from various departments addressed procedural requirements and solutions to resolve pending issues of the Veterans.

(SUBHEAD)(MOREPIC2) On the occasion, Lieutenant General Manoj Kumar Katiyar, General Officer Commanding in Chief, Western Command interacted with the Veterans and conveyed gratitude and appreciation on behalf of the Indian Army for their invaluable services to the country. He reaffirmed the commitment of the Western Command to whole-hearted and unwavering support for veterans and the serving fraternity. The Army Commander assured efforts to address challenges faced by veterans, particularly regarding their health and well-being.

The Army Commander praised veterans for their contributions to civil society post-retirement, enhancing the Armed Forces' image and catalyzing progress and development. He urged those present to be ambassadors for the initiatives taken and convey the message to their respective fraternities.

The Western Command's outreach programme demonstrates its dedication to supporting veterans and fostering a sense of community and camaraderie.
