In a joint operation with Uttar Pradesh police, the Punjab police have nabbed the key accused from Lucknow who was wanted in the triple murder case that took place on September 7.
The accused identified as Punjab Singh has been nabbed along with one other accused identified as Bikramjit Singh alias Vicky, wanted by Punjab police in the murder case of an AAP functionary Gurpreet Singh Gopi Chola in Tarn Taran in March 2024.
Both Punjab Singh and Bikramjit Singh had been residing as a tenant in one of the houses at Indira Nagar colony of Lucknow.

Both Punjab Singh and Bikramjit Singh had been residing as a tenant in one of the houses at Indira Nagar colony of Lucknow.
Anindya Vikram Singh ACP Ghazipur in Lucknow said that they had received inputs from Punjab police about the two accused following which the operation had been planned. He said that a transit remand of the accused will be taken for sending the accused to Punjab.
It is pertinent to mention here that last month on September 3, three youths including Jaspreet Kaur (26), her brother Akasdeep Singh (21), cousin Dildeep Singh (32) were killed besides their two another relatives were injured when six motorcycle borne assailants pumped around 50 bullets into them. Jaspreet was scheduled to get married in October and all of them were going to invite their relatives for the wedding in a car when they were attacked near a local Gurudwara.
Later, the police had booked eight persons by name including Ravinder alias Ravi alias Sukhu, Rajbeer Singh alias Daler Singh, Sukhchain Singh alias Jass Giani, Akshay alias Bashi, Gautam, Prince, Ashish Chopra and Happy Mall besides three unidentified persons following the complaint lodged by Charanjit Kaur, mother of the one the deceased Dildeep Singh.
On September 7, Anti Gangster Task Force ( AGTF) Punjab and Maharastra Police, six of the accused were apprehended from Sawangi tunnel on Nagpur- Mumbai Samrudhi Super Expressway while they were travelling in Toyota Innova car. (MH26AC5599) during an overnight joint operation.
