The timing of schools in UT Chandigarh has been changed. This decision has been taken due to the changing weather. According to the orders issued, this new timetable will come into effect from Monday in all government and government aided schools of Chandigarh and will remain in force till March 31, 2025.
In all the schools operating in single shift, the staff timing will be from 8:10 am to 2:30 pm, while the school timing for students has been fixed from 8:20 am to 2:20 pm. With this change, students are expected to get some relief from the morning cold in the winter season.
In double shift schools, the staff timing in the morning shift for class 6th and above will be from 7:50 am to 2:10 pm and the students' timing will be from 8 am to 1:15 pm. At the same time, in the evening shift from class 1 to 5, the staff timings will be from 10:50 am to 5:10 pm and the students' timings will be from 12:45 pm to 5 pm. This order has been sent to all government and government-aided schools for compliance. These new timings will be applicable till March 31, 2025.
