The deadly bowling spell from Yuvraj and Ishan reduced Meghalaya at 218 runs on the first day of the Cooch Behar Trophy match being played at PCA Mohali. Chandigarh won the toss and invited Meghalaya to bat first.

The half centuries by Manthan (80) and RS Rathore (59) took their score to past 200 while no other batter could even cross the score of 16. Yuvraj (4/43) and Ishaan (4/49) shared four wickets each. Chandigarh got off to a poor start losing skipper Balraj Singh (0) .
