COMMAND HOSPITAL HOSTS NATIONAL DERMATOLOGY CME PROGRAMME ON DERMATOTHERAPEUTIC ADVANCES

A National Dermatology Continuing Medical Education (CME) Programme was organised at Command Hospital, Chandimandir today. The day-long CME was based on the theme of "Dermatotherapeutic Advances".

The CME programme aimed to provide a platform for knowledge sharing, discussion, and collaboration among dermatology professionals. With the introduction of many new medicines, including topicals, systemic immunosuppressants, immunomodulators, biologics, and others, there are now a wide range of options available for patients with dermatological disorders, which was discussed in the Programme

Maj Gen Rajesh Verma,MG Medicine (Westen Command) Chandimandir, who was the Chief Guest of the event, highlighted the fact that the field of Dermatotherapeutics has advanced significantly and dermatology is contributing in a major way to the holistic management of patients with a variety of systemic disorders in addition to skin ailments.

Maj Gen Mathews Jacob, VSM, Director and Commandant Command Hospital (Western Command), welcomed the delegates and threw light on the advances in Dermatotherapeutics, which have provided an improved quality of life to many patients suffering from a variety of dermatological disorders.

The CME programme was attended by renowned faculty from across the country, including Dr. Rajeev Sharma, President-elect, National Dermatology Association - Indian Association of Dermatologists Venereologists and Leprologists , and Dr. Sunil Dogra, Academy Chair. Approximately 150 delegates attended the CME, which included postgraduates, practising dermatologists, and faculty from academic institutes.

The CME programme featured challenging case scenarios, panel discussions and interactions, which brought out the various Dermatotherapeutic Advances to the fore.
