UT ADMINISTGRATOR AND GOVERNOR DISCUSSED VARIOUS ISSUES WITH UNION MINISTERS

In a significant effort to address pressing challenges and foster development in Punjab and the Union Territory of Chandigarh, Sh. Gulab Chand Kataria, the Governor of Punjab and Administrator of UT Chandigarh, recently undertook a two-day visit to New Delhi.

Nirmala Sitharaman, Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs, Shri Nitin Gadkari, Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda, Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Sh. Manohar Lal Khattar, Minister for Power and Housing & Urban Affairs, Sh.Ashwini Vaishnaw Minister for Railways, Information & Broadcasting and Electronics & IT,Dr. Virendra Kumar, Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Sh. Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Minister of Tourism and Culture, Sh. Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of Labour and Employment and Sh. Govind Mohan, Home Secretary GOI.

The discussions primarily focused on critical areas such as infrastructure development, border issues, resource allocation, tourism promotion, labor welfare initiatives, and enhancing cooperation.

Sh. Kataria emphasized the urgent need for modernizing transport networks and improving public facilities to ensure sustainable growth in the region.

The Governor expressed a strong commitment to working closely with the Government of India to ensure that Punjab and Chandigarh receive the necessary support for their growth initiatives.

The Governor’s commitment to fostering dialogue with central authorities reflects a proactive approach to governance that prioritizes the needs of citizens.
