In a major breakthrough, PS Crime, Chandigarh Police got a major success by arresting / apprehending four accused involved in robbery from SCF 1, Sector 27 C, Chandigarh of Gold & Silver ornaments with cash Rs 37,000/-.
A Team of PS Crime as per directions of Sh. Ketan Bansal, IPS, SP/Crime & HQ, under the close guidance of DSP Crime Sh. Jasbir Singh and under the supervision of Inspector Ashok Kumar, SHO, PS Crime, arrested all four accused namely Jawant Singh @ Jassa @ Lucky, Virender Kumar @ Som, Jasmeet Singh @ Sharry and Kaka @ Gollu involved in robbery.
Police said, Case FIR No 129 dated 26.11.2024 U/S 309, 3(5) BNS PS-26, Chandigarh has been registered on the complaint of Smt Raksha Sharma age 82 years W/o Late Sh Rameshwar Das Sharma R/o SCF 1, Sector 27C, Chandigarh, in which she stated that she is running m/s Imperial Tyres business at given address and residing at 1st floor.
(SUBHEAD) On 26.11.2024 at about 3.45 am when she was sleeping, suddenly 04 young persons entered in his room forcefully and wrapped her in blanket. They asked the keys of Almirahs etc by showing her dire consequences. Due to fear she handed over all keys to them and then they stole all jewelleries i.e. gold and silver ornaments with cash Rs 37,000/- from her house.
During the course of investigation, on secret information, accused Jaswant Singh, Virender Kumar, Jasmeet Singh and Kaka @ Gollu have been arrested from Ludhiana area on 29.11.24. During further investigation, their disclosure statements were recorded, in which they stated that they hide the stolen jewellery in different area of Ludhiana, Punjab and some jewellery has given to co-accused Shetty, who is also residing in Ludhiana. They can recover the stolen jewellery from Ludhiana area and also can help to arrest the co-accused Shetty.

Kaka @ Gollu S/o Late Pardeep Kumar R/o # 1134 Sharma Verma Colony, Near Mehta Telecom, Habowal Kalan, Distt Ludhiana, PB age 43 years

Jasmeet Singh @ Sharry found to be involved in case FIR No 131/2021 of Arms Act registered at Police Station Division No 1, Ludhiana, PB.
Jaswant Singh @ Jassa found to be involved in case FIR No 131/2021 of Arms Act registered at Police Station Division No 1, Ludhiana, PB, a theft case registered at PS Daresi, Ludhiana, PB in 2021, and trespass case registered at PS Haibowal, Ludhiana in the year 2019.
POLICE INVESTIGATION:
Jaswant Singh @ Jassa is relative of complainant and he knew that his aunt is having gold at home and she is old. So he planned with his friends to commit robbery. They came to Chandigarh by Motorcycle on 25.11.2024 morning and went to complainant house but they got late, so they waited whole day in Sector 17 and then again on 26.11.2024 early morning they committed the offence of robbery.
All accused are habitual of consuming drugs. All accused have been arrested and the investigation of the case is under progress. All Accused were produced in the Hon’ble court and two days police remand is obtained.
