UT boys are in the commanding position against the host Odisha in the Cooch Behar Trophy match being played at Sundargarh. At the end of the third day, Chandigarh requires only 106 runs to win while the team still has nine wickets intact.

Earlier, Chandigarh won the toss and fielded first . Later the host team was all out for 257 runs. Girish Khatri took the maximum of five wickets while Ayush (73) was the top scorer from the opposition side. In reply, Chandigarh got off to a dismal start and wrapped up at 215.

Skipper Abhimanyu was the top scorer with 70 runs. Despite a lead of 42 runs, Odisha was all out for 132 runs, posing Chandigarh a target of 174 runs. Gaganpreet (6/41) took the maximum of six wickets. By the end of the day's play, Chandigarh had scored 69 runs at the loss of one wicket. Unbeaten Aksh Rana is batting on 38.
