The Gramshree organization was established in 1995 by Gujarat’s first female Chief Minister, Mrs. Anandiben Patel (Honorable Governor of Uttar Pradesh), to empower women and support their upliftment. By connecting women’s hands with the art of craftsmanship, the organization has provided a new direction to the lives of 75,000 women from both urban and rural areas, making them self-reliant.

‘Craftroots’ is a branch of the Gramshree organization, founded in 2008, which provides a platform for artisans of traditional and cultural arts hat have been passed down through generations in India. It showcases their handicrafts on a global level, creating livelihoods through handicrafts while also raising awareness about the rich heritage of these Indian crafts.
