In view of making mobile users aware of their rights and Cyber related Frauds a Special Session was organized at National Institute of Nursing Education PGIMER Sector 12 Chandigarh. This session was organized by Citizens Awareness Group in collaboration with Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).
Sh.Surinder Verma Chairman CAG while welcoming participants said that the objective of this session is to provide a platform to all representatives of Telecom Service Providers and Police departments to interact with Consumers to aware of the challenges in the mobile sector, Rising Cyber Frauds and educating all regarding initiatives started by Government.
Ms Mohinder Kour Kataria General Secretary while hosting the program highlighted on TRAI guidelines and shared Information about WhatsApp Channel started by TRAI to get latest updates on Cyber Frauds She said that initiative will help all consumers to be more careful about their mobile devices.
SHO Rohtash from Cyber Crime Chandigarh Police detailed about Digital Arrest and Sextortion cases happening these days. Constable Abhishek also awaken students for small mistakes made by all due to negligence.Telecom Service Provider Sh.Dev Chauhan from Airtel shared important information regarding Sanchar Saathi App and Chakshu Portal and also explained all facilities of Airtel Network.
Dr.Sunita Sharma officiating Principal NINE PGIMER conveyedthat we all are prone to these Crimes and it is very important to remain updated to prevent Cyber Frauds especially with youth and senior citizens.She thanked Citizens Awareness Group for organizing this program.

Mr.Ravi from Vodafone said that this this Awareness is first step to stop financial frauds and we should not download apps from social sites.
The program was attended by 100 students along with teachers. At the end Sh.Surinder Verma presented Memento to SHO Cyber Cell Chandigarh Police and Ms Meenakshi from NINE PGIMER as token of Thanks for their valuable time and support.
