In view of the prevailing weather conditions in the region – cold spell and predicted dense fog, the school timings of the Government, Government Aided and Recognised Private Schools of UT Chandigarh shall be regulated upto 11.01.2025 as under:
(A) Upto Class VIII – There will be no classes in physical mode but the schools may organise online classes for their students from 9 am onwards and regulate the timings for their school staff accordingly.
(B) Class IX to XII – The schools may open for these classes but not before 9.30 am and close no later than 3.30 pm. The Schools may regulate the timings for their school staff accordingly. To avoid disrupting pre-board examinations (if any), these schools may for the pre-board classes, if required, open at 9 am and the timing for teachers may be regulated accordingly.
UT Director of School Education has issued instructions in this regard.
