In a landmark event dedicated to advancing early childhood education, the Governor of Punjab and Administrator UT Chandigarh, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, distributed appointment letters to 68 newly recruited nursery teachers.
Held under the aegis of the Education Department, this ceremony marked a major step towards strengthening the foundational framework of the city’s education system, in line with the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The issuance of appointment letters to nursery teachers marks the beginning of a series of appointments across various cadres, including Special Educators, TGTs, PGTs, and JBTs. Your role is not confined to academics but extends to instilling moral and social values. Teachers are the cornerstone of a progressive society,” he said.
