DAV College Abohar's Red Ribbon Club (associated with Youth Services Department Fazilka) organised a lecture on National Youth Day dedicated to Swami Vivekananda under the National Youth Week programme.

Club's convener Dr. Tarsem Sharma introduced the day to the students and highlighted the club's work. As the keynote speaker, Sonu Kapila, Head of the PG History Department, explained Swami Vivekananda's life and philosophy to the students in a very interesting manner. She said that youth should take inspiration from the Swami and move ahead in life, only then they can contribute to the progress of the nation.

Hindi Department lecturer Dr. Nirmala said - Youth are the heritage of a society, they should use their energy towards a positive path, this was Swami Vivekananda's endeavor throughout his life.

Principal Rajesh Kumar Mahajan said that the college has always been making students aware of contemporary and sensitive issues and national heroes. The college will continue to discharge its responsibilities in the same way in the future as well. Dr. Neeraj Kumar, Maninderjit, Sukhpreet Kaur, Shiv Kumar, Ravinder Singh, Sona Singh were also present.
