ROTARACT DISTRICT 3080 HOSTS A CULTURAL EXTRAVAGANZA: “KARWAN 3080”

Rotaract District Organization 3080 in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of DAV (C) Dental, Yamunanagar organized the much-anticipated cultural event “KARWAN 3080,” InterCity 2025, at DAV College for Girls, Zone 5. The event, themed “Celebrating the Rich Cultural Heritage of North India,” brought together Rotaractors and dignitaries to honor the diverse traditions of Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Chandigarh.

Marking a significant milestone as the first-ever InterCity hosted in Zone 5, the event was led by Rtr. Guneet Kaur Kharbanda and Rtr. Garv Vashisth, under the guidance of District Rotaract Representative Rtr. Shashank Kaushik, Assistant District Rotaract Representative Rtr. Adv. Shivank Goel, and Assistant District Rotaract Secretary Rtr. Vahini Bali. Their leadership ensured that the event was a remarkable success.

Over 150 Rotaractors attended the vibrant celebration, along with special guests, including District Governor Rtn. Rajpal Singh, District Governor Nominee Rtn. Rita Kalra and Rotary Club Yamunanagar President Rtn. Karan Bindlish.

The day was filled with cultural performances, traditional attire showcases, and a live performance by the Shiva Live Band from Delhi, which captivated the audience and highlighted the richness of North India’s cultural heritage.

District Governor Rtn. Rajpal Singh praised the initiative, saying, “KARWAN 3080 exemplifies the spirit of togetherness and cultural pride that defines our district. It is inspiring to see young Rotaractors channel their energy and creativity to celebrate our heritage while building bridges of friendship and unity.”

In a world that is constantly evolving, staying connected to our traditions is vital. This celebration reflects the vibrant diversity of our district and fosters the spirit of unity and collaboration.”

The event's success was made possible by the support of the host clubs, Rotaract Club of DAV (C) Dental and Rotaract Club of DAV College for Girls. The organizers expressed their gratitude to Principal Meenu Jain of DAV College for Girls and Principal Dr. I.K. Pandit of DAV (C) Dental College for their guidance and cooperation.

KARWAN 3080 concluded with a strong sense of pride and unity among the participants. The event not only celebrated North India’s vibrant cultural heritage but also fostered a sense of fellowship and camaraderie, creating unforgettable memories for all attendees.
