Maharashtra seized control in their C.K. Nayudu Trophy clash against Chandigarh at the Deccan Gymkhana Cricket Ground, Pune on Saturday as left-arm spinner Vicky Ostwal delivered a phenomenal performance by claiming 9 wickets for 59 runs.

Chandigarh while opting to bat first struggled since beginning and finally managed to score 223 runs in 80 overs. Skippier Akshit Rana was the standout performer with a knock of 87 off 174 balls. He was well supported by Ivraj Ranauta who scored 45. The duo’s 126-run seventh-wicket stand provided some resistance after a top-order collapse. In reply hosts 39/0 before the stumps were drawn.
