CBI ARRESTS TWO DOCTORS AMONG ECHS POLYCLINIC, HISAR, OTHERS IN BRIBERY OF RS 10 LAKH, SENT TO JAIL

Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday aarrested four accused including one Doctor posted at Regional Centre, ECHS Polyclinic, Hisar, Haryana, another private doctor/middleman and two others in a case related to demanding and acceptance of bribe of Rs. 10 lakh from the complainant. 

CBI registered a case on 25/01/2025 on the basis of complaint against two accused including a Doctor posted at Regional Centre, ECHS Polyclinic, Hisar, Haryana and another private doctor/middleman on allegations that accused were demanding Rs.1.40 crore for concluding enquiry against a private Hospital, Rohtak (owned and managed by wife of the complainant).

(SUBHEAD)The complainant had allegedly paid Rs.35 lakh recently and was asked to pay Rs. 35 lakh more as advance of 50% of total bribe amount. 

CBI laid a trap and caught accused private doctor/middleman red handed while accepting Rs.10 lakh. Further, accused Doctor posted at Regional Centre, ECHS Polyclinic, Hisar, Haryana was also apprehended. 

Later, trap proceedings revealed that a Hisar based private person and a Sr. Accounts officer working in Defence Accounts Department, MoD, used to aid accused in getting clearances. They were also apprehended. 

All the four accused persons were arrested and produced in Panchkula Court which sent them to judicial custody. During searches, Rs. 25 lakh cash and incriminating documents were recovered.  

Investigation is continuing.
