Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation Pakistan chairman, at the 76th Republic Day function organised by the Indian High Commission in Islamabad, raised the demand to simplify the visa process.

Geetika Srivastava Charge d' Affairs in the High Commission of India congratulated the people of Pakistan on behalf of the people of India.

(SUBHEAD)Qureshi, one of the distinguished guests, said that everything can change but neighbours cannot. He said that 2025 will be the year of restoration of bus, train, air and public transport between India and Pakistan. He said that the process of issuing visas for visiting shrines and religious places in both the neighbouring countries should be simplified.

There is a need to strengthen people-to-people ties, trade with India needs to be resumed. Our preference should be to eradicate poverty and unemployment in both countries. By allowing participation in cultural, academic and religious programmes on both sides of Punjab, we can develop mutual faith and cohesion, he said.
