PARAS STARS IN WARRIORS’ WIN OVER MAVERICKS, TIGERS MAUL PANTHERS BY 102 RUNS IN ONE-SIDED AFFAIR

Wild Woods Warriors winning streak with a commanding 28-run victory over Manohar Mavericks at the ongoing Chandrashekhar Azad T20 Tournament being played at Tau Devi Lal Stadium on Sunday. The star of the match – Paras delivered a dominant all-round performance. Batting first, Warriors posted a competitive total, with Aarush Bhandari (70 off 39 balls) and unbeaten Nipun Sharda (45) were the key contributions while Paras played a blistering cameo scoring 23 runs off 11 balls to steer their inning at 221/6.

In reply, Manohar Mavericks fell short in their chase and managed 164/6 as the team fumble against bowling attack led by Paras(3/18) as wickets fell at regular intervals. A quickfire from down seven batter Abhishek Singh (80 off 32 balls) failed to deliver the result in favour of Mavericks. Bhagmender Lather (53) also scored a half century.

Opting to bat first, the Tigers posted a competitive 161/5, powered by a century knock from Devang Kaushik (100 off 62 balls with eight boundaries and five sixes). In response, Punjab Panthers crumbled under pressure and bundled out for mere 82 in 16 overs with Ankit Kuashik (30) and Vikas Kumar (24) as top scorer. Vishu Kashyap (3/28) was the pick of the bowlers from the defending side.
