INVESTOR’S AWARENESS PROGRAMME ORGANISED AT POST GRADUATE GOVERNMENT COLLEGE

With an objective to empower students with the knowledge to make informed investment decisions, the Institution's Innovation Council of Post Graduate Government College Sector-46, Chandigarh in collaboration with Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and the Citizens Awareness Group organized an Investor’s Awareness programme here  yesterday

Prof. (Dr) J. K. Sehgal in the presence of Vice Principal Prof. (Dr.) Sneh Harshinder Sharma welcomed Mr. Surinder Verma, Chairman of Citizens Awareness Group and SEBI smart trainer Ms. Himani Lath.

The principal of the college Prof. (Dr.) J. K. Sehgal said that it is essential that our students understand the importance of financial literacy as it is very crucial to invest wisely in the rapidly changing economic landscape. Such programmes provide valuable insights and practical advice on understanding of investment basics, risk management strategies and various investment options, he added. The expert speakers shared valuable information about simple and practical ways to start investing with small amounts, how to identify legitimate and safe investments, importance of SEBI and regulatory guidelines etc. The event ended with a Question-and-Answer session by the speakers. Principal Professor Sehgal appreciated the efforts of the organisers Dr. Mukesh Chauhan and Dr. pooja Garg.
