THE UNITED NATIONS WILL HONOR HARSH SHARMA, A MOTHER FROM PANCHKULA, FOR TRANSFORMING HER 90% DISABLED DAUGHTER, TEJASWINI, INTO A RENOWNED BHAJAN SINGER., A SPECIAL PROGRAM TO BE HELD ON MARCH 7, WHERE TEJASWINI WILL PERFORM BHAJANS AT HARVARD UNIVERSITY.

On March 7, the United Nations will recognize Harsh Sharma, the mother of 37-year-old Tejaswini Sharma, who has overcome a 90% disability to become a Bhajan singer. Harsh Sharma and Tejaswini visited Haryana Chief Minister, Naib Singh Saini, at his residence in Chandigarh for a courtesy call, where they invited him to attend the event at the United Nations. The Chief Minister graciously accepted the invitation and extended his blessings to Tejaswini, wishing her continued success in the future.

Harsh Sharma’s years of dedicated effort have played a crucial role in shaping Tejaswini into a talented Bhajan singer, despite her disability. Living in Panchkula, Haryana, Harsh not only nurtured Tejaswini but also supported her in achieving her dream of becoming a Bhajan singer.

(SUBHEAD)As a result, the United Nations is honouring Harsh Sharma as an inspiring example of women empowerment, a reflection of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision. Tejaswini, who has also received the President’s Award for her artistic talent, will perform Bhajans at the Indian Embassy in the United Nations.

During their meeting with Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini, Harsh Sharma expressed gratitude for the Haryana government's ongoing efforts to uplift daughters of the state and promote their achievements. She emphasized that the respectful approach of both the Central and Haryana governments towards women is encouraging daughters to step forward and contribute to the nation's glory.

Harsh Sharma also urged the Chief Minister to consider appointing Tejaswini as the brand ambassador for initiatives supporting children with disabilities. She believes this would inspire energy and hope in families with disabled children, helping them integrate into the mainstream.
