Chandigarh Police Operations Cell achieved a great success by breaking a interstate nexus of Gangsters/Drug Peddlers/Arms Suppliers active in tri-city.  05 criminals linked with various gangs along with Heroin, illegal weapons, vehicles and drug money arrested from Chandigarh, Rajasthan & Punjab.  Accused are declared Proclaimed Offenders or wanted in various case of Chandigarh, Punjab & Haryana and involved in Murder, Arms Act & NDPS Act cases.

03 criminals directly associated with Lawrence Bishnoi/Raju Basodi & Vakant Garg gang and were in touch with them.  Gangster Rahul @ Motouriya linked with Vakant Garg (involved in BSP leader murder case in January 2025 at Ambala & rupees 5 lac rewardee gangster in Haryana)

RECOVERY: Heroin - 190 gms.  Drug Money - Rupees 4,90,000/-. 03 Pistols, 02 live cartridges.,  One Fortuner Car, One Vento Car & one M/C.

Under the guidance of Ms. Geetanjali Khandelwal, IPS, SP Operations, UT, Chandigarh, under the supervision of Sh. Vikas Sheokand, DSP Operations, team of Chandigarh Police Operation Cell headed by Inspector Ranjit Singh, Inspector Operations achieved a major success by bursting an interstate nexus of Gangsters/Drug Peddlers/Arms Suppliers active in tri-city.

As per the directions and to prevention/detection of crime in the city, Chandigarh Police Operations Cell deployed its teams in the area of U.T Chandigarh to keep vigil on the anti social elements, wanted criminals/gangsters etc.

Police said, on 07.03.2025, a team of Operation Cell deployed a Naka at Inner motor market near Banyan Tree School, Sector 48, Chandigarh. Team of Operation Cell, saw a person coming riding on a motorcycle. On seeing the police party he swiftly tried to turn back but the rider was apprehended by the Police Party and he tried to throw the polythene. During checking the polythene 50 gms Heroine was recovered from his possession. On asking he disclosed his name as Narinder Kumar @ Aman. Consequently, a case FIR No.20 dated 08.03.2025 U/s 21 NDPS Act, PS-49, Chandigarh was registered against the drug peddler Narinder Kumar @ Aman, age 27 yrs.

Further, during the interrogation Narinder Kumar @ Aman disclosed that he had purchased the said contraband/drugs from a person namely Deepak Thapa @ Kancha, resident of Sector-38 West, Chandigarh. On his identification accused Deepak Thapa, has been arrested and Rupees 4,40,000/- drugs money and one Pistol alongwith one live cartridge recovered from his possession and section 29 NDPS Act & 25-54-59 Arms Act has been added into above mentioned case.

Accused Deepak Thapa @ Kancha was released bail from Model Jail, Burial last 15-16 days in case FIR No 01 dated 16.02.2024 U/s 21 NDPS Act of PS-ANTF, Chandigarh. In 2018, he alongwith 3-4 gang members were kidnapped a person from Nayagaon and murdered. Also he remained involved in an Attempt to Murder case in Chandigarh, a case FIR No 201 dated 12.10.2017 U/s 147, 148, 149, 341, 323, 307, 506 IPC, PS-Maloya was registered against him. 18.03.2025

During further course of investigation, it came to light that accused Rajinder Singh @ Goldy R/o Jhampur (Pb) is their associate and involved in many criminal cases in tr-city. On this information, team of Operation Cell put their all the sincere efforts to arrest the accused Rajinder Singh @ Goldy and break their nexus of drug peddlers active in the Tri-city area.

During further course of investigation, it came to light that accused Rajinder Singh @ Goldy R/o Jhampur (Pb) is their associate and involved in many criminal cases in tr-city. On this information, team of Operation Cell put their all the sincere efforts to arrest the accused Rajinder Singh @ Goldy and break their nexus of drug peddlers active in the Tri-city area.On 18.03.2025, a team achieved a great success by arresting the accused from Khatu Shyam, Rajsthan. During further course of investigation on the instance of accused Rajinder Singh @ Goldy One Pistol and Fortuner car bearing No CH01AJ-1323 was recovered which was purchased from drug money and same was used for supplying the drugs. He keep hiding himself at Rishikesh, MP, Jaipur & Khattu Shyam.

The accused Rajinder Singh @ Goldy remain involved in multiple criminal cases i.e. Murder, Arms Act & Narcotic Drugs Psychotropic Substance (NDPS) in Chandigarh & Punjab. In this regard a case FIR No 119/19 U/s 21, 25, 29/61/85 of NDPS Act was registered at PS-STF, SAS Nagar, Mohali (Pb) against him, Anil Mukhiya and Parvesh Kumar @ Bawa. At the time of arrest 265 gms Heroin, Rs 8,000/- drug money and one Brezza car were recovered by the STF Mohali.

During trail, accused Anil Mukhiya was convicted by the Hon’ble Special Court, SAS Nagar Mohali with rigorous imprisonment of 10 years and fine Rs one lac. Accused Rajinder Singh @ Goldy was absconded during trial and Hon’ble Court, SAS Nagar, Mohali (Pb) declared him as Proclaimed Offender on 28.03.2024. Punjab Police was continuously carrying out raids for his arrest.

The accused Rajinder Singh @ Goldy is also involved in Murder case in Sector-25, Chandigarh. Accused Rajinder Singh @ Goldy along with his 8/10 friends attacked a person namely Ajay Kumar of Sector-25, Chandigarh. Victim got serious injuries and died during the treatment. In this regard a case FIR No 205 dated 05.12.2023 U/s 147, 148, 149, 325, 323, 341, 302, 506 IPC & 25-54-59 Arms Act was registered against him and his friends at PS-11, Chandigarh which is under trial in Hon’ble Court. 22.03.2025 (Dharmender Singh wanted in Ajay murder case of PS-11, Chandigarh.

During interrogation, accused Rajinder Singh @ Goldy disclosed the name of accused Dharmender Singh R/o Small Flat, Dhanas, Chandigarh & Ludhiana (Pb) as their associate in many crimes. On this information, team of Operation Cell the accused Dharmender Singh S/o Vinod Kumar arrested from Ludhiana (Pb) and 140 gms Heroin, Rupees 50,000/- drug money and one Vento Car recovered on his instance. He was involved in multiple Murder, Arms Act & NDPS cases and declared Proclaimed Offender in high profile Sonu Shah murder case, which is committed by Lawrence Bishnoi gang. When Accused Dharmender Singh was in jail, he met with Rajinder Singh @ Goldy and become close friends as both involved in drug peddling and have criminal record.

Accused Dharmender purchased country made Pistol from Barelli (UP) for committing the crime same was recovered. Chandigarh police was searching him for past 3-4 months he did not use phone, but only various internet apps & hiding his identity.

On the disclosure statement of accused Dharmender Singh his associate, accused Rahul @ Motouriya @ Mota R/o Village-Mattour (Pb) age 30 yrs arrested from Sector-56, Chandigarh and one country made Pistol along with a live cartridge was recovered from his possession. Also he remained involved in a Murder case of Kuldeep @ Lovekush at Sarangpur and a declared proclaimed offender of Police Station-Sarangpur, Chandigarh in murder case. Further, he disclosed that he also supplied two illegal weapons for gangster Vakant Garg and after 4-5 days Vakant Garg @ and his associates murdered a BSP leader namely Harbilas Rajjumajra at Ambala (HR). Haryana Police has declared 5 lac reward on Vaknat Garg.
