The 21st Raising Day celebration of Sapta Shakti Command was marked by a spectacular cultural evening, held at the Cavalry Polo Ground in Jaipur Military Station. Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde was the chief guest. The event was also attended by Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, Army Commander, Sapta Shakti Command, five former Army Commanders of the Command, five ex-Chiefs of Staff and senior military veterans.
Cultural evening offered a captivating display of India’s martial heritage and cultural richness. The programme included enthralling performances of ‘Kalaripayattu and Chenttamellam’, ‘Malkhamb’, ‘Naga Dance’ and a mesmerising Symphony ‘Band display’.
Major highlights of the evening was a majestic ‘Equestrian Show’ by 61 Cavalry and an exhilarating ‘Paramotor Display’, both of which left the audience spellbound.

South Western Command, seventh and the youngest Command of the Indian Army, was raised at Jaipur and operationalised by the first Army Commander Lieutenant General K Nagraj on 15 Aug 2005.
The cultural evening served as celebration of unity and pride, symbolising the ethos of Sapta Shakti Command. Families of all ranks and veterans joined in the evening of colour and camaraderie, making it a truly memorable affair.
